Uganda Wildlife Safari and Mount Hiking Adventure

Welcome to Murchison Falls National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park with the aim of taking wildlife photos of different species hosted there, vegetation and physical features. Murchison falls national park is located in the north western part of Uganda and its Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area hosting 76 species of mammals and 451 birds. This park is bisected by the Victoria Nile, while in Murchison Falls National Park I noticed many tourist attraction activities which take place in the park like birding, game drives, hiking and nature walks, launch trips, sport fishing and cultural encounters.

With our hired customized safari 4×4 car in Uganda transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park is located in northern part of Uganda and is a home to 77mammal species and almost 500 birds while in Kidepo Valley National Park I noticed many tourist attraction activities which take place in the park like game drives, nature walks, community walks, mountain hiking, sand along river Kidepo and bird watching. Day one for your wildlife photo tour in Murchison and Kidepo Valley National Park will be for arrival at Entebbe international airport and you will be welcomed by our guide and company representative, great each other and thereafter you will be directed up to your hotel of residence for some resting while preparing for tomorrow’s journey.

Day two is for your journey from Kampala to Murchison Falls national park and you will pass via Masindi- Gulu highway and then up to the park, however lunch is provided en –route and some stop over at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary. Upon arriving in the park, you will go for some resting in your hotel of residence.

Day three very early in the morning you will go for birding and this is done through game drives, launch trips and this is where you have an opportunity to come across distinct bird life like savannah forest birds, water birds and your able to take photographs of different bird species, water falls, other animals like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles and others. There is also nature walks and is done on foot which gives you an opportunity of taking photographs of the park’s vegetation, escarpments, trees, swamps and depressions. You will also visit the people in the community and take photographs of these excited people while performing, cultural dresses and styles and others.

Day four you will cross from Murchison Falls National Park to Kidepo Valley National Park via Gulu and then to Kitgum and thereafter you will reach the park and after reaching you will go for some resting and next day you will go through activities like bird watching, game drives and this will give you an opportunity of spotting, sighting and taking photographs of different bird species, animals like elephants, bulbul ,zebras and reed bucks, park views and others. There is also mountain hiking which enables you to take good views of morungole mountain, highest peaks in Kidepo and others.

Day five you will end your photographic tour with community walks and you can get to know more about Karamojong lifestyle, cultures, dressing styles ,dancing and tools used and this will leave you with a variety of photos in your gallery and after your tour you will head back to Kampala with your guide for your return flight from Entebbe international airport back home with a great experience and variety of wildlife photos.

Hike Mount Elgon National Park

This known volcanic mountain is located in the eastern part of Uganda and it has the largest volcanic base in the world and the park is a home to over 300 species of birds including the endangered lammergeyer, small antelopes, forest monkeys, elephants and buffaloes. Therefore, come and enjoy this activity of hiking. Mountain Elgon National Park lies in the eastern part of Uganda near western Kenya and while in this park there are many tourist attraction activities which take place like mountain climbing, birding, hiking, nature walks, rock climbing, sport fishing and cultural encounters but I spotted hiking as the most interesting activity. Therefore, if you are to come and adventure your first day is for arrival at the Entebbe international airport and you will be welcomed by our guide and company representative and you will be directed up to your hotel of residence for resting and refreshments.

Day two is for departing from Kampala to mountain Elgon National Park and the journey will be from Kampala and pass through Jinja to Mbale town at the western base of mountain Elgon and then climb up to Kapchorwa and then up to mountain Elgon National Park.

Day three while in mountain Elgon National Park very early in the morning after your breakfast prepare for the trail with the park guides and this is where you enjoy being amongst the park’s primates, bird sighting and rare tree species and this leaves you with a variety of memories. These trails lead past caves, viewpoints and waterfalls with the option of camping overnight on the mountain slopes. After that Memoric trail you can zip up your tour with cultural encounters through visiting the community and share with them, experience their cultural norms, life styles and others.

Day four will for departing mountain Elgon National Park very early in the morning back to Kampala via Mbale highway to Jinja and then up to Kampala. Lunch is provided en-route and some stops over for snacks at the Nile and Mabira forest for adventure and thereafter proceed with the journey up to Kampala for your return flight from Entebbe national port back home with a great experience.
